Over the last six months there have been a number of changes in the team at Convention Edinburgh. With the departure of Lesley Williams after seven years with Marketing Edinburgh, Amanda Ferguson joined as Head of Business Tourism in August. Hannah Shaw joined in March to lead on National Association Sales whilst Elaine Miller has moved up from Ambassador Programme and Bid Manager to focus on International Association Sales. In her new role Elaine will also manage the research activity of the team including our new researcher, Claire MacGilp who joined us in October. Read on to find out more about each of the team:

Amanda joins Convention Edinburgh after ten years working at VisitScotland where she latterly headed up the UK and European activity in Business Event. A ‘well kennt’ face at a national and international level in the industry, she’s well known for her work at the global trade shows and for speed networking on the run - quite literally!
International Association Sales Manager

Elaine has worked in business events for over 12 years, where she has developed a great deal of expertise within the association market. Initially she managed the highly respected Edinburgh Ambassador Programme and recently added international association sales to her role. When not out and about building relationships with clients and academia you may hear Elaine following another one of her passions in life.....singing!

Hannah joined Convention Edinburgh after three years working in the Scottish Food and Drink industry where she gained great skills, like tasting food samples. She is looking forwards to further developing her experience within the association market, and hopes to become a familiar face for business events.

Claire joins Convention Edinburgh as Research and Ambassador Executive after 11 years working with the National Trust for Scotland where she worked within the Holidays Department, sharing her passion for holidaying in the great Scottish outdoors.
