Akva

This quirky Swedish inspired café and venue offers a great option for an evening reception for your next event. A short walk away from Haymarket area and other city centre locations it can accommodate up to 600 for their whole venue hire. We liked the added bonus of overlooking the beautiful Union Canal, a great option for Summer time outdoor events.

If you’re looking for a creative venue full of tapestry and artistic flare then this could be the place for you. Redeveloped from an old swimming baths the building has been brought back to life in a dynamic way through its new cultural use. The venue hosts regular high calibre exhibitions and events and is home to the Dovecot Studios, allowing the creativity of woven tapestry and textile arts to flourish here in Edinburgh. There are six areas ideal for hosting an event, for a banquet or reception their viewing balcony can accommodate up to 250 guests.

Dynamic Earth

The Caves

Located in the heart of Edinburgh's Old town this historic vault will provide a unique backdrop for your next event. Inside the Caves, the space is illuminated using coloured lighting and candles creating an atmospheric setting. The main vault houses the stage for bands and DJs, making it a perfect venue for ceilidh dinners. By using all areas of the Caves, the venue can accommodate up to 250 guests for dinner or a reception for 450 guests.

Edinburgh Zoo

Take a walk on the wild side by holding your meeting at the Zoo. Your delegates won’t be the only one bright eyed and bushy tailed. Sometimes the natural environment helps to stimulate fresh ideas and innovative thinking for your speakers and delegates. The historic Mansion, with its magnificent views, provides the perfect setting for a reception of 100 delegates. For a meeting style set up, look towards the nearby modern Budongo Lecture theatre, situated in the Chimp Enclosure which can accommodate up to 170 theatre style. During breaks, guests can have the chance to study the chimp residents.

Edinburgh Corn Exchange

The Edinburgh Corn Exchange is a listed, versatile venue towards the West of Edinburgh. It was built in 1909 and was the former Corn Exchange building which farmers and merchants used to trade cereal grains. Now, the venue is used for many purposes such as conferences, banqueting, and exhibitions. The main concourse is a light and spacious area that can accommodate a reception for up to 750 guests and also ideal for a registration space. The Exchange Hall, is the venue’s largest space which can be set up in theatre style for 1,500 guests or a reception for 3,000.
